Joel also appraised assets held by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) plus his longtime role as CEO of an electronics contract manufacturing firm. He is also a rare coin and precious metals expert and author – a unique distinction that has been part passion and part business since the 1970s.

His knowledge of each city, subdivision and their respective amenities, allows him to target the best match for a client’s lifestyle. He specializes in buying and selling in Allen, Fairview, McKinney, Lucas, Plano, Frisco, Prosper and Celina.
Joel is a member of Kiwanis International, which empowers its members to pursue creative ways to serve the needs of children through local service projects and fundraising. He is an avid animal-lover, especially of dogs, and donates to local animal shelters and rescue organizations. Joel and his wife, Carol Taylor, a fellow real-estate agent, are contributors to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Collin County, Allen Community Outreach and are actively engaged in government in the City of Allen and Collin County. He serves on the Board of Directors for its HOA.
